Cool For Cats

Hi Peeps
Well, the weather has been nice enough today to do abit of surfing! :D Just love this cool dude and he only landed on my doorstep this morning all the way from the USA! Treated meself to a few Penny Black stamps that you can't get over here and if you would like to have a spending spree, I got them from PBStamps.

I've coloured him with Promarkers, the stripey paper is DCWV 'The Glitter Stack', the embossing folder is 'Divine Swirls' from Cuttlebug and the blue card is Coredinations 'Gemstones'.

I've covered the swirls in Stickles 'Arctic Ice' glitter glue and also used 'Crystal Ice' on the waves on the image.

And that's it really, I've kept it fairly simple! Thank you for visiting and for leaving such lovely comments too.

Carrying The Tree

Hope everyone's enjoyed the long weekend :) Onto todays card and I fancied doing another crimbo one and just love this adorable image, which is a new one from Lili Of The Valley. I coloured the bears a creamy colour for this card, as the main colours are the warmer traditional tones for Christmas.

The paper is from Wild Rose Studio and the red card is Coredinations and I've embossed it with the stars folder from Crafts Too. I've used the border punch 'pine needles' from Martha Stewart and the tartan ribbon I've had for ages is an adhesive one from Anita's.

I've used Flowersoft on the tree and then decided to do afew snowflakes with 'Frosted Lace' Stickles glitter glue.

I tried to capture the Flowersoft in the picture below, the gorgeous Cherry Blossoms are from Wild Orchid Crafts and have been glimmer misted, this time with 'Iridescent Gold'!

Summers Last Burst

Oops, trying to type this post and watch The X Factor at the same time, so it'll probably take me about an hour! :D Now, I'm not sure I'm completely happy with this card, mmmm, maybe I am, I think I am!!

Oh dear, anyway, the fab image is a Penny Black stamp, I used 3 different Distress inkpads in the colours: 'Crushed Olive', 'Tumbled Glass' and 'Mustard Seed'. The yummy paper is from the S.E.I. 'Mimosa' pad. The deep edge border punch is a Martha Stewart, the swirls are from a Marianne Creatables flower die-cut set and the organza ribbon is Anita's.

I've used the gorgeous 'Clear Rock Candy' Distress Stickles, love this stuff and I've tried to capture it in the photo, I spread it with my finger around the edges of the image.

And I've received another award, this one from the lovely Sharon, thank you! Now, I'm afraid I've got to tell you 7 things about meself :D

1. I'm 4ft 10"

2. And a size 1 in shoes

3. I've walked up Mount Snowdon (never again!:)

4. I've had my hair cut once this year (I know, dreadful)

5. I've still got a huge schoolgirl crush on Keanu Reeves

6. I'm a Great Aunty!!

7. I'm abit scared of cows! and sheep! (You wouldn't believe I grew up in the country)

A Polka Dot Christmas

Hope everyone is well, we're back from a couple of days in the Lake District, so I've got alot of catching up to do! Anyway, just before we went I found out I'd won some blog candy on Mandy's gorgeous blog and when we got back I found out I came in the Top 3 in last weeks Lili Of The Valley challenge! Woohoo! And this card is going into this weeks LiliOfTheValleyThursday challenge, which is 'Lets go dotty for circles'.

Just adore these new christmas LOTV stamps and had to have the polar bear ones :) The paper is from Wild Rose Studio, vellum is from a Forever Friends pad, card candy and sentiment is from Craftwork Cards. The snowflake die-cut is a Sizzix one and the smaller snowflakes are a paper punch from X-Cut.

The silver glitter paper is from Petaloo and I've used Stickles 'Stardust' glitter glue, oh and the embossing folder is a Cuttlebug one.

Pink Cupcake Glory

Well, here I am again! This time with a gorgeous pink 'n' brown colour combo, perfect for a real girly girl birthday :) Love this bear! He's a Penny Black of course, coloured with Promarkers.

The fab paper and sentiment are from Craftwork Cards, the swirl die-cut is a Sizzix one, I embossed a piece of white card with an embossing folder from Cuttlebug and used a couple of Distress inkpads in 'Spun Sugar' and 'Victorian Velvet'. The border punch is a Martha Stewart and the brown card is from Coredinations 'Chocolate Box' pad.

For the icing on the cupcake I used Stickles glitter glue in 'Cotton Candy', then sprinkled Glamour Dust over it, mmmm sounds yummy! And I've used 'Stardust' Stickles glitter glue too around the frame.

The gorgeous flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and they've been glimmer misted in 'Pearl'!

Dance, Sing, Love, Live

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend. Well, this is something abit different for me, no image to colour in! Love this sentiment and wanted to make a card with it and cos it's a Penny Black stamp I've followed the PennyBlackSaturday challenge which is a sketch, so hope this is ok.

The gorgeous paper is Laura Ashley and has a lovely flocked pattern on it. The bigger butterfly is an X-cut punch and the teeny ones are a Martha Stewart.

I've used Distress Inkpads in 'Tumbled Glass' and 'Faded Jeans' and Stickles glitter glue in 'Baby Blue', which is more of a shimmer than a glitter.

The fabulous cherry blossom flowers, which I can never get enough of, are from Wild Orchid Crafts and I've covered them in 'Pearl' glimmer mist. The swirls are part of a Marianne Creatables die-cut flower set.

Roses Are Red

Hope everyone is well today, I've had a break from decorating today, yippee! And was in wedding cardmaking mood :) Just love this cute couple and love the new shaped cards from Craftwork Cards, but I had to chop a little bit off the bottom point cos it didn't stand straight, which annoyed me! Never mind, I'm happy with how it turned out anyway. Loved working with the layout which is from the fabulous Bev at the LiliOfTheValleyThursday challenge.

The paper is from Papermania's 'Confetti' collection, embossing folder is a Cuttlebug one the gorgeous organza ribbon is from Anita's, which I can't seem to find anymore :(
The heart punch is a Martha Stewart of course and I've used Stickles glitter glues in 'Frosted Lace' and 'Ruby Slippers'.

The gorgeous wild rose is from Petaloo and I've sprayed a little 'Pearl' glimmer mist on it to give it a lovely shimmer. Oh and the leaf die-cuts are from Sizzix.

Strawberry Tea

Phew! I'm knackered with a capital K! Finished painting the front room today, just the radiator and bay windowsill to gloss! And I'm nearly there!
Anyway, on to my card for today and I enjoyed doing the PennyBlackSaturday challenge, which is 'Feeling Fruity' so much I've done another card for it cos I just love this paper! :)

The paper is from Doodlebug, image is Penny Black coloured with Promarkers. The red flower is from Prima (almost forgot about these too!), white flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The gingham ribbon and bow are Papermania's capsule collection and lace is from my local craft shop. And no glitter glue!!

Break For Cake

Thought I would get this card on tonight, as I'm decorating again tomorrow, it's the front room this time and I plan to get started on it first thing! Feel tired just thinking about it! :D

A Note From Santa

Hi Folks
I'm abit early for me today, I'm planning to do abit of decorating after I've posted this! Anyway, thought I'd do an easel style card for a change, love doing these. Lovin' this bobble trim at the mo too. I'm entering this into the SketchSaturday challenge, hope you can still see the sketch!

This cute bear and dotty paper are both from Wild Rose Studio and I've used my new Cuttlebug 'Snowflakes' embossing folder. Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, love these Cherry Blossoms and sprayed them with 'Pearl' Glimmer Mist and I used I think probably my favourite Stickles glitter glue in 'Stardust'.

Frosted Lace

Well, I'm onto my third crimbo card and at this rate I'll have about a dozen done in time :D
Love this image but not sure if her outfit is too green now I've coloured it in! Doh! Added the swirl at the last minute and glad I did, I think it finished it off nicely.

I've used Stickles 'Frosted Lace' glitter glue for this card, love the soft shimmer effect. The paper is from Papermania 'A Christmas Carol' collection and has a lovely linen touch to it.

Not sure how the idea for the flower came about, it just sort of happened! They are of course from Wild Orchid Crafts!

Poorly Ted

Hi Folks
Hope everyone is feeling better than this poor little ted! His medicine is nice and pink though, so should be better soon :D Our poor old cat isn't too well at the mo, she's started to limp and we've no idea why, but she doesn't seem to be in any pain, will be ringing the vets in the morning me thinks. Lovin' this dotty paper at the mo too and couldn't find any pink ribbon that was the right shade either so think I need to re-stock on some more!

Hope everyone is well today. Here I am with another card this week, think I'm doing quite well for me! Just adore this image, I've always been drawn to anything with stars and moons on (think it's the old hippy in me) and cats of course! So this, is I think my favourite Penny Black stamp :) Love these swirl die-cuts too, they're fabulous. Oh and I've called this card 'Blue Moon' because the Simon Says Stamp challenge is a song themed one, I haven't got a clue who sang this I'm afraid, I'm waaaay too young! In fact I think we all are! :D

Snail Mail

Hi Folks
I've had a lovely morning just crafting away today, got abit wet when I popped into town earlier this morning, but that's the British summer weather we all know and love! :D
I'm really pleased with how this card has turned out too, had the idea in my head and for once it came together without me changing my mind a million times. And thought the sentiment was perfect with there being a snail image too and I covered the dandelion head in glitter glue but it hasn't shown up very well in the photo! Boo!
