Hiya peeps!
I hope you're all well. I'm back with a shadow box card featuring a cute pterodactyl stamp from Heffy Doodle.
I stamped this wee guy with a Versafine Vintage Sepia ink pad on to Botanical Ultra Smooth watercolour paper, painted with my Faber-Castell Abrecht Durer pencils and fussy cut them out.
For the base of the card I cut two pieces at 7x7 inches and scored both at a half inch and one inch. This makes the finished portrait size 7x5 inches. I then cut a window from one piece using a rectangular die. My inspiration for making this card was from Jennifer McGuire's YouTube video, which you can find here.
For the background I ink blended with Salvaged Patina and Broken China Distress Oxide ink pads and a cloud stencil with white gouache paint. I die cut the mountains, ink blended those with Shaded Lilac and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide ink pads and added more white gouache paint for the snow peaks.
For the front frame I used the same blue Distress Oxide ink pads and splattered with the white gouache paint.
I stamped the sentiment with a Versafine Imperial Purple ink pad, adhered everything together, sticking the stamped images on to acetate and sandwiching them in between the two pieces of card.
Then for the finishing touches I added a few wee clay stars and some Stickles Stardust glitter glue.
Thank you for visiting today :)
