Sleigh Bells Ring

 Hi everyone!

We're on a sleigh ride today.......sort of ha! The stitching dies I used today are Santa's Sleigh and Pretty Package by Poshta Design.

The felt I used is from Felt Better and the colours are; Red with DMC no.817; Cream with DMC no.3865; Pistashio with DMC no.15; Carnation with DMC no.963; Willow with DMC no.747; Teddy Bear with DMC no.3862 

The peppermint swirl is from The Gingerbread Village kit. 

Here's the Pretty Package which I made into...............

 

...................a gift card holder or you could put a very small present inside.

Mr & Mrs Claus

 Hello people!

I'm back with the sweetest couple ever! The stitching dies I used are from Poshta Design and the felt I buy from an online shop called Felt Better. 

The colours I used are Soft Peach with DMC thread no.948; Red with DMC no.817; Cream with DMC no.3865; Carnation with DMC no.963

The peppermint swirl I used on Santa's hat is from The Gingerbread Village kit.

The candy cane I used here is also from The Gingerbread Village kit and for her glasses I used 3 strands of the red thread and 1 strand of gold metallic thread.

So about a year and a half ago I picked up a new hobby! Stitching felt! Love it! I soon came across Poshta Design that make stitching dies and that's where these cute guys are from :)  

 I always use 100% wool felt as it's lovely and soft.

Bells 'n' Holly Wishes

Something a bit different from me today! Not a cute critter in sight!

Season's Deliveries

 Hi folks!

Cannot believe it's been a month since my last blog post!!! This just isn't good enough lol !

Anyhoo, my two wee cards today feature some cute pups from Penny Black Inc, which I inked with a Gina K Designs Warm Glow ink pad on to Botanical Ultra Smooth watercolour paper. I then painted them with my Faber-Castell Albrecht Durer pencils.

For the ink blending I used Distress Oxide ink pads, first in the colour Antique Linen on both cards, then on the first card I used Crushed Olive over the top and on the second card I used Festive Berries. But decided I wasn't happy because they were a bit too bright so went over these colours with Antique Linen, which toned them down.

I splattered the ink blending with water and white gouache paint, stamped the sentiments with a Versafine Vintage Sepia ink pad, added some white Nuvo Crystal Drops to the mistletoe and then finally some white Ultra Fine Flower Soft for the furry trims on their hats and stocking.

Like Mittens In Winter.....

  Hi folks!

So on one of the hottest days of the year I blog a Christmas card and matching bauble! Lol! Never too early! 

These super cute kitties are from Anita Jeram @ Colorado Craft Co, love her illustrations. I stamped them with Vintage Sepia Versafine ink on to Botanical Ultra Smooth watercolour paper and painted with my Faber-Castell Albrecht Durer pencils.

I ink blended with Distress Oxide ink pads in the colours Salvaged Patina and Evergreen Bough. I then splattered that with water and the same inks and for the snow I used a stencil and some Nuvo Glacier paste.

And lastly, I stamped the sentiment with Deep Lagoon Versafine ink and added Stickles Frosted Lace glitter glue to their wee snow boots.

The matching bauble, front and back. I tried to make the back of it look like a snowball!

First Christmas Fun

 Merry Christmas everyone

Wishing you all a safe and peaceful one :)

This is my last crimbo card of the year, I've used some slimline card dies from Mama Elephant, die cut the name with letter dies from Memory Box, then ink blended with Distress Oxide ink pads in the colours Tumbled Glass and Broken China and turned it into the shaker bit of the card with acetate, 3D foam tape and lots of wee stars and snowflakes.

For the snow I've used some Snow-Tex paint. The super sweet reindeers are from Pretty Pink Posh, stamped with a Versafine ink pad on to Botanical Ultra Smooth watercolour paper, painted with my Faber-Castell Albrecht Durer pencils and for the bambi style white dots I used a Sakura Gelly Roll pen.

Rejoice

 Hi everyone

I'm back with a couple of Christmas cards I made for an order, not my usual style but I was quite happy with how they turned out.

The image stamp is a digital one from Star Jam Lines @ Etsy. Even though my printer ink is not waterproof I managed to paint them with my Faber-Castell Albrecht Durer watercolour pencils, I think that's because when I use my pencils I don't use anywhere near the amount of water with them than when I do with normal watercolour paints, if that makes sense! :D  I've also used some yummy gold handmade watercolour paint which has shown up quite nicely in the photos.

I've ink blended around the images with Distress Oxide ink pads and popped some teeny tiny gold stars on too.

The word die is from Hello Bluebird, which I've die cut four times and layered for depth.

Oh So Jolly

 Hi everyone

I'm back with the cutest foxes from Hello Bluebird which I've stamped on to Botanical Ultra Smooth watercolour paper with a Versafine ink pad.

I then painted them with my Faber-Castell Albrecht Durer pencils and fussy cut them out.

The frame die is from Avery Elle and the sentiment die is from Mama Elephant, which I've die cut both four times each and layered for depth.

And for the finishing touch I've added little clay snowflakes.
