Skippin' In Spring

Hello Peeps
I've been cooking butternut squash today, mainly because Archie boy managed to grab a couple of small chicken bones and swallow them! Aaaargh! So, onto Mr Google to see what the remedy is and apparently mashed pumpkin works to cushion the bones in the stomach, as you can guess no pumpkins, so it's cousin the butternut squash had to do. I have to say he seems absolutely fine and his usual self, fingers crossed. (As I'm writing this the cat is throwing up on the bay windowsill, yep, one of those days.)

My Favourite 5 Of 2011

I thought I'd join in with Debby's Five Favourites Of 2011 cos I missed the Christmas one! :D And yes it's much more difficult than you think! Anyhoo, here goes.........

I just adore this Penny Black image and I love the lush paper from Doodlebug. The ribbon is gorgeous and I was pleased with the layout too.

Another Penny Black I adore! :D I love the Prima papers 'n'soft colours and was really happy with the layout again!

I love the softness of this card with the gorgeus LOTV fairy. I also love all the embossing and the lovely charm.

I fell in love with this little elephant from Stamposaurus, so had to have them all! ;) I love the colours on this card and the gorgeous flowers and lace too!

Oh now I was really pleased with this card and I still have it, I can't bear to part with it! :D The super sweet couple are from LOTV and the church stamp is from Magnolia and I love how all the flowers all turned out.

Well' I'm not sure this is 1940's really, I'm not happy with how I've coloured her hair either AND it's not photographed very well!! Grrrrrr! But apart from that, I'm quite happy with it! :D And it's my last card order too, which means I can take my time and play now! Yay!

Retirement Plan

Well, I just don't know how I've survived these past few days! I accidently knocked my laptop on the floor and the screen went black! Aaaargh! Anyhoo, lucky, lucky me got it fixed today and didn't have to fork out for a new screen!! Phew! So hopefully I will try and catch up with you all! :)
So, onto my card, I was asked to make a retirement card with a caravaning theme. As soon as I was asked I remembered about this image, which I had as a decoupage image many moons ago and then I found it as a stamp! Hooray! I love the Jolly Nation characters :)

Just to let you all know I'm still here! I've had unbelieveable troouble with blogger this week!! I couldn't even access my own blog!! I've gone through a million and one things it might be including changing my web browser, contacting Norton and my internet provider, THEN this morning I thought I would go back to the 'old blogger interface' and guess what! It works!! Aaaaarghhhh!! :D
Anyhoo, I have a couple of cards made, so I'm just going to take the pupster for a walkies and I'll be back and can't wait to catch up with you all! I just can't believe it was something so simple and I've been on the new interface for a while and thinking about it, it was always quite slow and often wouldn't let me onto other blogs! Grrrrrrr!

Morning Peeps
I'm having real trouble with blogger at the mo! As you can see I can post a new post, but my blog looks different (the background doesn't show up and the font is different) and I can't access anyone else's blog at all!! Grrrrr! I'm getting really frustrated, I've allowed blocked pop-ups for blogger, but this hasn't made any difference! Oh and I can access my comments so I will be able to read any if you can help me!

I'm abit late tonight and really ought to be in bed! :D But before I go I wanted to show you all this card I managed to make today using one of the sweetest baby stamps I have, it's by Tina Wenke for Stampavie, the papers were from DCWV 'Nana's Nursery' collection, the gorgeous flowers are from WOC and the cute little charm is from The Ribbon Girl.

I've coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers and distressed with 'Tumbled Glass'.

I'm early again! :D I finished this card last night though that's why and it fits in perfectly with the Penny Black Saturday Challenge too!
So the stamp is a Penny Black! :D The paper is from Wild Rose Studio, I've used a couple of embossing folders from Cuttlebug, the flowers are from WOC, the big pearl brad is from The Hobby House and I can't remember where I got the charm from, but there's loads out there! :D

I've coloured the little hedgies with Promarkers and a Flexmarker.

I hope you've made the most of this fab weather while we've still got it! So, I decided to make another crimbo card with this sweet Penny Black stamp, the papers are from Wild Rose Studio, I've used me Star Nesties with Grungepaper, covered them with Glossy Accents and loads of the fab German Glass Glitter. Oh and the border punch is from EK Success!

I've painted with watercolours, drawn stars around the image and then tried to hide them with Stickles 'Champagne' glitter glue :D

Wow another scorcher today, we went to the beach and got out feet and paws wet :) Will add a photo at the end.

Phew! I hope everyone's been enjoying the fantastic weather we're having at the moment! And we have afew more days of it too! Yay! :)
Anyhoo, I'm back with another 50th birthday card, this time for a chap and I've used one of my fave LOTV stamps :) The papers were from Papermania, I've used an around-the-page punch from Martha Stewart and an embossing folder from Cuttlebug.

I've painted with watercolours and used Glossy Accents on his goggles, the windscreen, lights and the little mascot on the front of the car!
